10 essential objects that you should not forget on your next trip

10 essential objects that you should not forget on your next trip

The next time you pack, pack like a jet setter with these 10 must-have essentials.

When we pack a suitcase we tend to lean towards one of the two sides of the scale, either we pack light or very heavy. Both have their pros and cons. Traveling too light can result in you ending up buying everything you needed to pack at your destination and traveling heavy can definitely lead you to pay extra for excess weight, especially now with airline restrictions and only taking things for a walk that only get in the way of your suitcase and that you are not going to occupy.

And you, what kind of traveler are you?

Whatever your way of traveling, we invite you to apply this list of 10 tips that will make you a star traveler and focus on the only thing that matters, enjoying your trip.

Believe us you will thank yourself on your next trip...

1. A suitable suitcase and an extra foldable one

As logical as this advice sounds, sometimes the most obvious is what we go unnoticed.

Make sure that your suitcase meets the travel requirements demanded by the airlines since they can be very strict with this issue.

If it is a carry-on, make sure it complies with the measures required to enter it into the cabin.

If it is check-in, look for features such as:

  • quality material (to protect your belongings, a rigid suitcase is better than a soft one)
  • ideal size (which allows you to carry what you need but not pay extra weight)
  • integrated security system (prevents theft of your belongings and
  • easy handling (the last thing you want is to struggle at the airport pulling your suitcase, a four-wheeled one solves the problem)

As an extra we recommend you pack a light and foldable backpack, you will appreciate it, if you are one of those who goes shopping or buys souvenirs for the whole family, it will be very useful for your trip back home.

2.Covid Times

Today, after a long Covid-19 pandemic that is still latent, the importance of sanitation has taken a radical turn now that we are back on the road. Hygiene and cleanliness become the protagonists of our trips.  Do not forget the basics that never hurt:

  • wet wipes
  • antibacterial gel
  • face mask (although it is no longer required, you never know if you can get to places where you are required to wear it)

3. First aid kit and medicines

A small toiletry bag with the basics of first aid is never too much. Bandages, gauze, cotton, antiseptics, lidocaine, antihistamine will be very useful to heal small wounds.

If you're going to be walking a lot on your trip and your shoe hurts you, you'll appreciate those Band-Aids.

Consider adding general medicines that can save you if you are having a hard time such as:

  • ibuprofen
  • tylenol
  • common cold medicine
  • for motion sickness
  • for upset stomach
  • for allergies
  • to sleep like melatonin

Finally, do not forget to add your personal medications along with the medical prescription, in case they can request it or it can be useful for any inconvenience. Remember to add the proportional amount and an extra in relation to the days you will be away from home.

4. Documents

Make a list of all the documents you need for your trip and try to group them in one place that is safe but accessible so you can have them on hand when you need them.  you require.

  • Passport
  • Visa
  • ID
  • driver's license
  • reservations
  • plane tickets
  • travel insurance
  • Covid vaccination document…

We recommend you write down on a card telephone numbers and addresses that you may need, you never know when your cell phone may fail. Like a pen is never too much.

5. Tech Accessories:

Nowadays it is almost impossible to live without our cell phone and technological accessories, we depend on them to do almost everything. And when traveling, it is most likely that you are always running out of battery so  We recommend that you group all the accessories you need in a bag or toiletry bag, such as:

  • power bank
  • extra usb cables
  • connectors
  • universal adapter
  • earphones

Take them with you in your carry-on suitcase, it's probably where you need them the most.

6. Cap and glasses

Hats, caps, visors, and sunglasses are accessories that we sometimes overlook and can be useful for both hot and cold weather. These accessories become one of the most forgotten when packing a suitcase and can be very useful to protect you from the sun, the cold or those days when your hairstyle is not your best ally.

7. Microfiber towel and toiletries

Did you know that hairbrushes, razors and toothbrushes are the most forgotten items when packing?

As we said before, sometimes the most obvious is the easiest to forget.

Take a toiletry bag with your bathroom essentials: toothbrush, hairbrush, deodorant, lotion, sunscreen, shampoo, conditioner, q-tips, cotton balls, dental floss.

If possible, buy travel sizes or fill bottles of the allowed size so that in case you put your toiletry bag in your carry-on suitcase, they allow you to carry the items without problem.

It may still be useful to carry these sizes if you document to save space and weight. Add a mini sewing kit with thread, pins, tape, needle and buttons are an extra that doesn't hurt.

A compact, quick-drying microfiber towel can be very useful.

8. Waterproof jacket for any change of weather

The weather is never reliable and can always change suddenly no matter our destination, so consider bringing a warm jacket, sweater or sweatshirt to keep you warm in any circumstance such as when the temperature drops in the airplane cabin, an air-conditioned space or weather changes.

9. Water bottle

If yours is to do your bit to the environment and save a little, a reusable water bottle can be very useful, since you can refill it when it is finished and thus you do not need to spend on buying another one and you reduce the use of plastic.

You can find different materials, shapes, and sizes that suit your travel needs and personal style.

10. Extra comfort
